hello all! i have been using joomla version 1.0.11 (virtuemart ecommerce ed.) past 2 months , working great. 3 days ago, upgraded version 1.0.12 via ftp manual upload (using internet explorer). seems running great @ exception of following points; when try insert image in section manager, file doesn't seem upload , keeps bringing me login page if logged out operation. the other thing noticed when use joomlaxplorer, everytime try change permission on file, keeps telling me "permission-changed failed" though logged in super administrator. since don't know scripting, appreciate if explain me (in easy words) how fix these small 2 problems (the insert image keeps logging me out , file permissions through joomlaxplorer) many in advance! best regards of you! tom75 i still don't understand permissions logging out part.  virtuemart doing me after last upgrade because livesite setting dropped www prefix; added in , never had logout issue again.  see if problem sorry don...

apologies in advance, rubbish @ programming , think i'm being bit thick here, i'm appealing forum inspiration. have fixed array of 8 pir sensors arranged around compass points, , turret various things on rotated stepper motor. turret should follow people walk past. @ moment, have simple series of 8 'if' statements, i.e. if north-east pir active, goto 90 degrees. kindof works , has advantage heads latest pir go active, it's not clever, , precise 45 degrees. ideally able find average position based on multiple sensor inputs, dumb programmings techniques involve exponentially large series of 'if' statements. briefly tried using callbacks functions, 1 each sensor, think ended 8 different threads fighting each other. can me 'proper' way of doing this? post current code , we'll see if/how can improved. raspberrypi

hi, have laptop running win7 @ moment, want install ubuntu bit of rails programming. best strategy minimal work? install via wubi or allocate space install ubuntu on partition? if latter, how go doing this? thanks. wubi best method. can install along side. when boot livecd , choose install, there should option shrink windows 7 partition. should work fine, remember resizing partitions inherently risky, make sure backup important data first.
