Thread: Installing ifort Version: 11.1 Build: 056 on ubuntu/hardy

hi.

unsucessfully tried install ifort on ubuntu/hardy. went intel website, gave them email, downloaded product ia-32/intel® 64 (file l_cprof_p_11.1.056.tgz) and extracted archive.

when try sh install.sh terminal error: trap: 260: sigtstp: bad trap.

don't know make work.
i've installed gfortran (from synaptic, piece of cake) , works fine, course i'm taking told professor tiresome compiler issues avoided if use ifort instead.

looks internal error. thing can tell there instructions on installing compiler somewhere around on web. however, can find german one. here's link automatic translation. not seem use "install.sh" , might therefore work:
