Doing something useful with the PI - Raspberry Pi Forums

a lot of i've seen pi on order of "fun" or "neat" applications. want useful pi, moving data around , controlling signals. possible higher bandwidth i/o on pi type computer? i'd able toggle io pins @ least above 20 mhz, , able move data @ 11 mb/s outside world pi. possible? have read through specs bit, , appears processor quite capable, outside world accessed through gpio part. other processors great deal slower when running on gpio.
