Thread: Synaptic is dead


last night installed timevault, thought okay, went bed.
today try run synaptic , brings box says:

e:dpkg interrupted. must manually run 'sudo dpkg --configure -a'
e:_cache->open() failed. please report.

open terminal, , try 'sudo dpkg --configure -a'
cannot see happens. few lines print out, screen blanks , goes login, except mouse , keyboard not work, end having power-cycle pc in.

how out of trap?

all well. managed remove timevault init sequence hand, reran sudo dpkg --configure -a succesfully, , use synaptic clean rest of out of system.
