hi, installed mysql server while ago, through apt-get. wanted give manual install of latest mysql server version try, did stupid. deleted mysql folders installed when apt-get installed mysql-server on system. did because thought precompiled binaries downloaded mysql.com once. so, later on, tried remove mysql-server trough apt-get... somehow apt-get tries shutdown mysql server, while isn't running, searches my.cnf in of folders deleted. can't delete mysql-server package anymore... should do? p.s.: here's complete output of apt-get when try remove mysq-server via 'autoremove'. there pops mysql config window seen when installing mysql, not when uninstalling. asks set root password, press enter, , process continues(no, doesn't ask mysql root password, asks me set 1 up!) code: reading package lists... done building dependency tree reading state information... done following packages automatically installed , no longer required:...

hi there, doing image manipulation gimp have following plan: taking photos raw-images, loading them gimp, maybe correct them little bit, save them raw file again , actual manipulation. after manipulation: save .png, .jpg or whatever. reading/opening files , last part (manipulating , saving them format) works ufraw plugin etc. saving raw files again rawfiles doesn't. reason why want save files raw is: when have minor corrections pics, want save them directly instead of doing same correction again, everytime open raw file. know plugin or else enables gimp save raw-images? desired fileformat cr2 (canon) , .pef (pentax) have searched in gimp wiki , in gimp forums either use wrong keywords search or nothing written down there... appreciated lot in advance! is there reason why need keep them in camera's native raw format? personally, prefer leave original intact , save tweaks in gi...

using this microphone have severe noise in background. more peripherals plug in (camera, gertboard, wi-fi adapter) worse noise becomes. we've tried several different power supplies, problem still remains. microphone seems pick switching noise pi , peripherals connected it. significant frequency 1 can hear sounds 1 khz. noise not present if 1 plugs in microphone other computer. problem lies raspberry pi itself. have suggestions problem? using raspberry pi model b old linear regulators. perhaps problem fixed using usb hub external power supply?
