Thread: wireless not detecting in Ubuntu 9.04

hi,

installed ubuntu 9.04 in hp laptop. lan card detecting wireless card not detecting wireless signals of access points.

please help...........

on new installation, sticks sometimes. right click connections icon , uncheck "enable wireless." re-check it. also, make sure wireless turned on. if dual booting windows , have turned off wireless in windows, many times not work right in ubuntu, have go windows , turn on, reboot

if neither of these, post output of:

sudo lshw -c network
to open terminal: applications > accessories > terminal
