building LED wall using 60 8*8 LED matrices

hi all, new user of neopixel led matrices. build cylinder wall of 15*4 led matrices, small 1.2" 8x8 led matrix w/i2c backpack. leds face inner side, 15 columns of 4 led matrices.in total, there 60 matrices , 3840 single colour leds.

however, there several problems came me when thinking it.

1, backpack bit longer matrix itself. if need put them in array tightly attached between columns, backpack block neighbour columns' backpacks. possible solution solder backpacks bit off matrix tips of pins of matrix. can buy space still not enough.

2, since 1.2" matrix backpack has 3 bit i2c addresses, can control 8 matrix independently @ same time. if need control single leds of matrices, how can set addresses? should use layer of micro controllers master device control different groups of 8 matrices? going slower speed of refreshing matrix? ideal refresh rate each matrix @ least 100 hz.

if chance have experience of doing similar projects, or have knowledge of how solve these problems different better solutions, more happy listen advice.

in first sentance, mentioned neopixel. mistake? did not mention again.

spi interface better number of matrices think. max7219 chips have , available  "backpacks". have seen backpack same size matrix.
