Thread: Transmission does not limit download speed

i have 256kbps internet connection. need throttle torrent download speeds often, can browse simultaneously.

transmission has speed-limit feature, had set d/l speed 15kbps. however, feature appears joke. shows 15kbps in main window while downloading @ 30-32kbps.



i'm using version "transmission 1.51 (7963)"
has else faced problem? there solution this? should file bug report?

(edit: tried deluge. lies download speed, throttling doesn't work)

it works fine in deluge me. seeing in panel, network manager? if so, app using bandwidth. try pauzing transmission , see if drops 0 or not. throttle torrents time, , while takes bit adjust, works treat (with deluge @ least).
