Noisy square wave readings - input filter guidance
hi!
i'm trying read square wave generated speedo in car. square wave has 50% dutycycle, amplitude of 10 volts , ranges 0-250 hz.
it's hooked arduino digital input pin number 2. (see schematic details)
when measure time 1 squarewave alot of noise current configuration. noise easy remove worst part i'm getting lot of noise in 0-250hz region. can't stable reading. right it's unstable, when driving speed jumps on place.
anyone have idea how can clean input signal?
my logic analyser can read speed signal without noise. atleast haven't found 1 bad reading in measurements logic analyser.

stupid question: have common ground between arduino , speedo of car?
try make lp filter 220 ohm resistor , 3 uf capacitor (speedo resistor, resistor digital input, between digital input , resistor put capacitor gnd), or use schmitt trigger clean digital signal
