Thread: Sharper system and firefox fonts

im new forum go easy! installed ubuntu 2 weeks ago , loving it!!

im sure you've been asked many times before, how fonts sharper? on ubuntu intrepid 8.10.

im migrating windows xp (slowly surely), , fonts in windows xp clear, in ubuntu bit softer, ok.

gripe firefox...the fonts dont did on xp, problem because im web designer , need check how sites look.

how firefox looking did on xp machine?
making system fonts in ubuntu clear did on xp great too.

ive tried apperance preferences > fonts > subpixel smoothing.
tried many settings in no luck.

guys, hope can

imho dejavu fonts better default ones. in appearances can change them system. browsers allow select default fonts browser. subpixel smoothing you've selected.
