Thread: Lost internet connection

i have internet connection through wire, same wire using write post on laptop. know there no problem such firewall or anything. if problem not in desktop machine beyond couldn't post this.

on desktop machine internet connection not work. have dual boot win xp , ubuntu , neither has internet connection now. have not done in particular, working when left , not working when came back.

test ping did:

code:
ping www.lri.fr
on both machines.

laptop answers:

code:
ping futurwww.lri.fr (129.175.15.11) 56(84) bytes of data. 64 bytes futurwww.lri.fr (129.175.15.11): icmp_seq=1 ttl=45 time=61.2 ms (...) 4 packets transmitted, 4 received, 0% packet loss, time 3004ms
the desktop machine answers:

code:
ping futurwww.lri.fr (129.175.15.11) 56(84) bytes of data. 192.168.200.1 icmp_seq=1 destination host unreachable (...) 4 packets transmitted, 0 received, +4 erros, 100% packet loss, time 15013ms
through same wire. (i plug machine i'm using)
