newbie looking for usb keyboard emulation help

hi sorry newbie question thats been asked million time. want make simple keyboard emulator. have arduino nano have been told can't use 1 first question is: cheapest arduino development board can use keyboard emulator?
i want use onboard button transmit , ascii character keyboard.
i don't know or how start.

please advice anyone
this starting point i'd add 5 more keys project later.
