minidlna subtitle with chromecast - Raspberry Pi Forums

hi everybody,

have pi2 raspbian wheezy , minidlna v1.0.24 (from repo) , using torrent seedbox , dnla server.
have bought chromecast 2015 (ccast) , want play videos raspberry ccast , display .srt files placed next videos.

did try different android apps: bubble dlna, localcast, allcast still not working.
  • localcast manage search subtitle on opensubtitle.org , display it.
  • bubble, try press subtitle icons have "none", if sure minidlna can share .srt file (it works on samsung smarttv)
got same problems viewtopic.php?f=38&t=73464&p=626191#p626191 according https://www.reddit.com/r/chromecast/com ... subtitles/ should possible done. wondering if find way it!

ps: know should use xbmc within pi , not ccast, wanted stream other apps (netflix, etc...)

just updates problem:

found out in git history of minidlna commit has subtitles improvement bubble upnp: http://sourceforge.net/p/minidlna/git/c ... 2f5cc663b/
think must have minidlna > 1.1.2, , therefore have decided compile latest v1.1.5. (i have followed http://joerpi.blogspot.com.es/2013/08/r ... erver.html put custom raspberry icon).
however, still doesn't work :cry:

ps: have free version of bubble_upnp, don't mind pay long feature working... maybe feature premium user?
