Long range data transport
hello guys
i read max distances on different data communications.
my project magnetometer on antenna tower indicating azimuth direction. more hmc5883 board.
the hmc 30 meter house, need see value.
i read i2c prrotocol can't handle distance. moving whole arduino outside, method can't connect small lcd display in house.
what reccomand?
i thought buying 2 arduino boards, putting 1 of them @ tower , other 1 in house , connecting them cat5 cable serial connection.
do have other cheaper / safer ideas?
thanks

my first attempt involve 30m of cable , slow i2c implementation, maybe few hundred bits per second.
