RFID shield and receiver compatibility

i have ordered following items:
(a rfid shield)
  • http://www.ebay.com/itm/300033606407
(an active rfid receiver)


both of these have female rs232 connections

my question:
do need straight male male rs232 cable this


or null (crossover) cable



i know goes tx rx when want talk arduino , vise versa, don't know adapter get. need flip signals going shield (use crossover) or shield want signal (straight)?[/list]
