Hit Detection Problems...

i still new actionscript, learning working on small, simple games..

i able "hit detection" movie clips, problem is, when draw movie clip, forms box around mc. if user hits part of "box" lose... want drawing hit detects, not surrounding area made box...

anyone have idea>
