whenever try edit or create newsflashes, categories, content, or edit other items, cannto type in main text field , when try save or exit, errors on page message , have close window?

any ideas? run version 1.011 think. new joomla , have limited exp nuke. can decently navigate php , can html

this may related not entering same url in browser access website entered in $mosconfig_live_site variable in configuration.php. if variable has www defined, need enter www in browser url , vice versa.
