How to use Arduino relay?

i know uses of these ports on relay. no (normally open) com (common) nc (normally closed). can 1 explain me further relay.

those 3 switch connections relay. wire them circuit want control.

that relay electronically driven single pole change on switch. called spst.

why have got relay if not know does?
