Linked movies in RoboHelp solved
well, thought problem solved spoke soon. (again, looking @ preview , not finished file.) here's real answer why linked captivate movies in webhelp did not launch.
when webhelp generated, movies renamed movie 1.htm, movie 2. htm movie_1.htm, movie_2.htm - broke of links between movies.
i renamed of captivate movies movie_1.htm, movie_2.htm, etc., , reimported them robohelp. then, when file generated ran fine.
so, answer seems to include underscores in of captivate movie file names when create files. way, file names not changed when webhelp created , links preserved.
cheers!

background:
this huge mystery. linked movies worked fine on local machine, worked fine when first published them on our local intranet, worked fine in topic previews in robohelp, , worked fine when went directly robohelp project folder , started movies there. so, why didn't work in webhelp file itself?
then, went \!ssl!\webhelp folder , movies didn't link up. so, did experiment , copied files project folder webhelp folder. when didn't message asking if wanted replace files discovered files had been renamed. geez - pain! hope info helps others.

hi cindy
interesting discovery , sharing!
can me favor? normally, it's best practice in robohelp project use underscores in file names. before committing changes, i'm wondering if can try following.
in robohelp, click tools > options... > general tab
see if option labeled "use underscores in file names" selected. if so, de-select it.
now generate have been along (where saw errors in output) , see if problems aren't there.
this might option better totally changing captivate workflow. (unless, of course, have made adjustments)
thanks again... rick
