dynamically sized swf file

on several pages i'm working on, there debate. how wide can away before user have pan horizontally / scroll vertically.... idea. i'm wondering if there way can dynamically change size of flash document.

obviously, if feature have code in actionscript, opposed 1 can click box or something, need know how detect maximum space swf file can occupy without causing scroll.

hopefully know i'm talking about... sorry if don't - it's 2:37 am. --yawn--
