hello, having odd issue hope can fixed. have seen similar posts not excact issue...
installed ubuntu (jaunty) on system updates , went well. issue after installed the nvidia drivers (185.xx.xx)to allow me set xbmc, black screen no mouse or anything...i hear start sounds , able use putty access terminal via windos pc...so booting not showing desktop...now monitor using magnovax 20" lcd tv vga input.

if shutdown switch monitors old dell 17" lcd...everything comes fine....no issues...

changed resoloution low 800x600 put magnovox lcd , still have black screen...

resoloution before installing nvidia drivers 1024x768.

fyi - setting xbmc media center sons playroom.

in advance!

harware specs are:

zotac ionitx-b-e intel atom n230 (nvidia geforce 9400m graphics)
2gb ram
500gb hd
magnovox lcd tv (not sure of model...)
