Thread: Compaq CQ60 strange problems

hi,
have installed ubuntu 9.10 on compaq cq60-305er , works great (including wireless lan, windows ntfs access , flash drives). after have installed couple of packages (mysql server , client via software packager) can't run again. show me ubuntu logo , after black screen. have waited 10 minutes , nothing happens. rebooting doesn't

have run ubuntu second install. after first install shows me same blank screen when try run first time. after reinstall it works yesterday , today in morning.

have:
/dev/sda1 #windows vista home basic partition
/dev/sda2 #windows vista rescue partition
/dev/sda5 #ubuntu root '/'
/dev/sda6 #swap

i'm sure wrong installation need find is. have tried recovery mode it's bring me command line , don't know next.

have same problems?
