Thread: Change/Edit Tray Icon(s) on VLC Ubuntu 9.04

hey guys, on last couple of days i've been migrating on ubuntu 9.04 windows xp , has been going pretty sweet far. i'm trying tweak few things make prettier.

issue i'm having @ moment in regards changing/editing tray icons on vlc media player (and other apps in future). navigated /usr/share/vlc , edited .xmp , .jpg files in there solid black squares (just test out wether or not change them in app) , nothing in app changed, default orange cones still there. , did whilst logged onto root account too, cant imagine has anyhting permissions.

clarify , there's no confusion, here's screenshot marked want change - http://i38.tinypic.com/2l94fh4.jpg ..im wanting change default tray icon rythmbox uses, assuming able replace vlc 1 rythmboxes apparently not.

that's it, sorry rambling on long. wanted try make clear possible. appreciated, , in advance can help.

ok "might" search vlc in search panel directories , change occurrence of every image....
