Need to replace a PDF doc on a site

i think easy thing...i'm new dreamweaver i'm doing wrong!

here's issue: there pdf document on website need replace. current 1 had typo; new pdf created replace 1 on site, , need swap them out (in other words, delete old 1 , add new one). exact process this? thought knew, it's not working reason.

assuming new file has same name ftp site
would html file. can either using dw inbuilt ftp client or use
ie or cuteftp, wsftp.

can ftp in html files?
