continuous download of Flash Player

this has been going on quite sometime , i've never found solution. on sites flash asks me download player. have player already, download anyway. box on flash site shows yes, have flash installed now. go site uses flash , i'm start - please download flash player.

i can't understand why if it's on computer, why site keeps asking me download again, yet shows have on computer.

i started use macromedia flash 8 training source, james english, , needed play flash in 1 of tutorials. sent me download site. downloaded, shows flash movement in sample box if have flash see in box. go flash site , once again - wants me download flash.

so it's continuous circle no end.

would have idea @ why happen? suggestions appreciated. don't know else try.
