Garage Door Control - Raspberry Pi Forums

this has been done... over, , on again. i've googled hours, read multiple instructables, blogs, searched git, forums etc.

purpose of post see if out there has come across project things want. i've come across come close, don't all. have 1 working now, gain features code additions. i'm sure simple if knew python.

want do:
- sense when garage door open, start loop, after has been open configurable period of time close it.
- along automatic close. want audible alarm @ 1 minute until close, progressively more annoying alarm within 10 seconds before close. use speaker tied audio jack audible alerting, matter of playing couple of different sound files.
- notifications via email or pushbullet api of garage open/close operations, , after open xx seconds.
- web interface monitor status , able open close door.

that's low-bar. other nice haves:
- toggle button auto-close feature in web-interface. notification every hour left disabled (so don't forget turn on, while i'm working in garage). can around blocking obstruction sensor prevent close while i'm working out there, , i'd still notifications when it's open minimizing annoyance of audible alarms every 20 minutes.

cam integration. run zoneminder , have camera inside garage , on driveway. kind of cool still image after it's opened, or live video feed. in web-interface. not crucial, cameras there anyway, save going zm app check event if curious entering garage.

project i'm using https://github.com/andrewshilliday/gara ... controller has configurable notification, sends email after xx seconds. i'm sure adapted auto-close... there ton of projects this, i'm hoping there closer want.

nothing more annoying korean car horn. hook 1 , use pwm vary annoyance. if hate neighbors , deaf, train horns should trick.

rfid tags on cars , people have access tell without picture..... can use microphone scream when cat attacks them.
