Thread: 9.04: HDMI + nvidia = No signal / SVideo + nvidia = Fine... Help?!?

i'm having issue htpc.

have nvidia 7300gs card hdmi output on it. when installed, can see post , bootup splash screen. happens next depends on driver: if i'm using stock non-restricted driver, video -- albeit lousy video. if use nvidia driver restricted drivers, after post , splash screen samsung hdtv goes blank, searches signal, , errors "no signal".

connect same hdtv nvidia 7100 svideo out, , works perfectly, although not @ 1080p in full hdmi glory.

if crazy things install 7100 connected svideo, install restricted driver, reboot, shut down, swap in 7300gs, , reboot, can *sometimes* working in full 1080p once or twice... after reboot, it's "no signal".

i'm not linux newbie, i've never had muck around nvidia driver or xorg.conf in past. out there can give me guidance on start?
