Download Access Mdb

we want allow user of ie, download access 2000.mdb without using ftp program , require password entry.

in test when using ie web browser when enter ftp://someuser@localhost/somedb.mdb , "the page can not displayed" message.
i enter above link , after authentication, downloading should start immediately.
instead have enter ftp://someuser@localhost , double click on somedb.mdb download database.
my ie version 6.0
