CUPS in Raspbian Distribution - Raspberry Pi Forums

i'm attempting configure hp color laserjet 2605dn printer attached via ethernet wireless router.

version of raspbian installed noobs contains of cups package. leads me believe printing may possible without installing full cups package. if not case, why part of cups included in distribution?

have clue, or full instructions, on how print what's in distribution?

i've got functional full cups package, i'm @ loss understand why partial package in distribution.
