cant see publish, save, delete icons in module manager - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support

in admin part of 1 of joomla sites, whenever access module manager 'publish', 'unpublish', 'save' buttons etc. not show on top right part of screen im used to. ive tried other areas components, , content manager within module manager (and modules) these buttons dont show @ all.

can me out here? heaps

what joomla version?
what browser use?

how access back-end of site?
with http://www.yoursite.com/administrator or http://yoursite.com/administrator
and how $mosconfig_live_site configured in configuration.php ? or without www. ?
