greetings 1 , all,

bought raspberry pi b+ view learning basic programming etc events overtook me , thought pi make ideal solution particular issue wanted address bought ready made disc image timelapse video capture.

works well; doesn't quite fit bill. records timelapse video in order retrieve timelapse video have stop service; download video , reboot pi start whole thing off again.

i'd achieve have separate video file (different names) each hour (or maybe 4 or 12 hour period) recorded , stored ready download video timelapse process continue without need reboot.inbetween switch between stored files ... if makes sense ?!?!?

info came disc image basic , has little explanantion, newbee pi i'm @ bit of loss how can achieve goal starting point of disc image.

constructive welcomed whilst i'm urgently wrestling basics of pi programming.
