Power two Arduinos and a linear actuator from a single wall wart

hi all.

i'm looking power 2 arduinos , linear actuator single wall wart, in title, using 2 jacks linked , motor shield.  linear actuator draws @ 150 ma, , understand arduinos call 250 ma each.  i'm powering max486 1 of arduinos , 1 led other, can't imagine calls much, reckoning need 650 ma.  wall wart 12v , 1 a.  sufficient needs?  there problem running 3 of same one?  under impression common grounds necessary seems solves problem.

thanks help

you have check voltage regulators on arduino boards (put finger on it). might hot 12v.
the current needed arduino board can 1ua 1a (that range of million times). arduino boards using ?

what kind of wall wart using ?
a regulated 12v 1a quality wall wart okay.
an unregulated cheap wall wart might output 18v , hot above 300ma.

you can power 3 single wall wart. have connect grounds of course. have transistor or mosfet operate linear actuator ?
