intro text and main text WYSIWYG edit areas - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support

i've searched board looking answer no luck far.  here's question...  in of default modules come joomla!, user presented 2 wysiwyg edit areas.  "intro text" , "main text."  how rid of 1 of them user presented 1 wysiwyg edit area?  purposes, i'll never need both intro , main text areas.  installed easy_faq module works great again, there 2 text areas , want one.  arghhhh!

i've never done this, start looking in /administrator/components/com_content/admin.content.html.php , try removing way. sure leave box intro text in there, required field. so, of content go in there.

just keep in mind...you don't ever have use second text field if don't want to. can leave blank. , hacking core means of changes make may have re-done every time upgrade joomla. benefit outweigh work on upgrade?
