Browser Not Working - Raspberry Pi Forums
i'm new raspberry pi , trying set raspberry pi 2 model b web server. i've been using popular book "raspberry pi user guide" upton , halfacree, in order me set things up. going fine until got part setting wireless wifi networking. apparently, book outdated since there no "wifi config" icon on desktop after installing noobs on raspberry pi 2 model b. book shows icon being present in picture, don't have 1 on screen.
noticed network connection icon on top menu bar of screen (i installed raspbian, suggested book). connecting wifi network seemed pretty user-friendly after clicking on icon. icon looks if i'm connected wifi network (the icon shows solid blue bars). however, when open browser , type in url, it's unable pull website. doing wrong? there else have do?
browser i'm referring epiphany web browser. appears @ top left corner of screen next "menu" icon. epiphany web browser icon shown picture of globe. after double-clicking globe, opens epiphany web browser. no matter url type, browser gives message saying "oops! not possible show website..."
noobs downloaded , installed "noobs_v1_4_1.zip". installed raspian operating system.
when run mouse on networking icon in upper right portion of screen, says
"wlan0: associated notion92
wlan0: configured 169.254.106.246/16
eth0: link down"
have no cable plugged ethernet port, , wifi network name "notion92", seems if connected. why doesn't browser seem think so? why can't visit pages?
may willing provide.
