Thread: partition table lost in Gparted


i try resize hard disk partition make room karmic koala beta using live usb. while resizing, power down suddenly. partition corrupted , unable boot. search online, , found testdisk program. recover partition , able boot ubuntu. however, partition not showed @ gparted. when use fdisk -l, ubuntu can recognize partition.
not able install new ubuntu, because still have other thing in other partition. in installation, partition show gparted. 1 huge unformated partitiion.

solution:
did backup partition delete using fdisk. write partition table. partition table correct now.
can create partition gparted now.

from live cd, open terminal (applications-accessories-terminal) , give command
