Viability and General Approach For Automated Dry Ingredient Dispenser


i introduced soylent, alternative method of consuming one's nutritional needs.  involves mixing carbohydrate (usually flour), protein powder, , several other dry ingredients, pouring in water when time eat.  right ingredients , assistance of diy.soylent.me, possible fulfill of nutritional needs of human without going overboard on fats or salts many food eaters every day.

my recipe contains approximately ten dry ingredients, ranging in granularity table salt fine cocoa powder.  each ingredient weighed on scale before adding sandwich bag storage.  process of creating 1 500-calorie meal takes me 6 minutes per meal, when making several @ time.

i hoping automate of this.  saw someone's video on youtube of "cookie perfection machine", , similar want do.  problem attempting replicate design lack of access machining equipment required produce metal parts.  can use hand tools , off-the-shelf parts hardware stores , internet sites, can't buy cnc machine make own parts.

my design not require large rotating mechanism because dispense dry ingredients.  means can use central funnel send ingredients scale.  can stationary, makes design simpler.  moving parts have mechanisms used dispense ingredients.

my biggest challenge , reason posting seeking advice on how dispense ingredients, given lack of access custom parts.  fitting electric motors rotating devices challenge without custom-made parts.  dispensing ingredients, thinking electric pepper grinder might work.  might ingredients require less ten grams per meal, not flour requires 75 grams per meal.  advice on components use dispense ingredients weighed appreciated.

my goal spend less $250 on parts, if have spend $500, can.

would satisfied fixed amount of each ingredient or should tweakable? can mix dry ingredients in 1 large container beforehand , take that, or need separate dispenser each ingredient?

i'm thinking hopper full of 1 (or all) ingredient sitting above "drawer". when drawer closed fills ingredient falls hopper above it. drawer has no bottom, sitting on surface makes seal. drawer has protruding surface on top of close hopper drawer opened. opened ingredients fall out of bottom.
the amount of ingredient dispensed regulated size of drawer.
unfortunately require manufacturing.

alternative sort of screw pushes ingredients (again hopper above), unless can source them they'll harder manufacture.
