Using Java apps and where to find them

i new dreamweaver mx 2004, , building first site. import applications paste pages such as: rotating images, scrolling headlines, ticker tape, etc. first know if there popular free source these scripts helpful resource me. furthermore, know if using these scripts matter of putting them table cell or if there further process must use. much.

i think mean javascript, not java, , can find lot of
popular ones @ www.hotscripts.com.

i know no javascript , have installed countdown clock
on site, it's not hard figure out.

otoh, lot of effects mentioned considered bit cheesy
nowadays.
