Android tablet as keypad for RFID door entry

hi all,

i'm pretty new arduino / rpi world.  arduino in mail , should receiving anytime now.

i have been trying use rpi i/o controller recommended use arduino instead.

as title states, use android tablet touchscreen keypad.  user swipes rfid card, , prompted enter pin.  see working hard keypad, question is, possible use soft keypad?

i may plan use arduino , rpi slave / master scnerio , have them communicate via i2c, see may option have type of scenario work...maybe php interface or app built on android...but i'm reaching out has experience in type of project tablet, or robust touchscreen 7 inch ?

thank in advance!

i don't know enough android. can force enter lock-down mode can't exit? otherwise person can close app, browse internet or other things not related keypad. plus it's expensive keypad. regular keypad no more couple of dollars.
