Adding custom pages - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support

hi there !

i've installed joomla few times know if it's possible add complete new custom php pages , if yes, how implement them ; start if want comply joomla structure ?  best practices ?

i added new menu item, linked new section in new category want more flexibility.

i'm able add menu items how link them new custom php page (maybe connected on db)  ?

i need few hint start. wrote lot of c language program , php syntax close it.
