Thread: Ubuntu is running in low graphics mode....not...

yep, that's says....

on jaunty machine, brother said updating, mom somehow managed freeze it........ , did hard shutdown.....

not giving me go on, had no idea update was...

when goes boot, there several fails, nfs related.... 1 it's trying connect laptop that's not on.... nfs shouldn't messing graphics....

curious, fails start nfs daemon doesn't try start before tries use it....

after several moments tells me ubuntu running in low-graphics mode, it's not running, it's frozen....... not really, input devices wont work..... did once , able generate new hardware configuration....... nothing....

know isn't @ go on..... i've got machine running livecd now..... i'm recharging camera batteries i'm typing expect picture (maybe video) of bootup later.......

it sounds computer turned off in middle of installing updates. i'm sure there must way recover system, see if can /home folder using live cd , external media of sort. if can, follow other advice get. if nothing works, @ least settings saved. may have reinstall, exeptions of few programs install, never left.
