Retropie problems... Please help ! - Raspberry Pi Forums
hello there, apologies if in wrong section couldn't see retropie one.
running retropie 3.0 on pi 2 model b.
have had fair few problems getting , running last night seemed fine. however, when turned on morning had decided change it's resolution 640x480 (i run on 1080p tv) , managed find place or other (can't find again) in menus changed default resolution 1920x1080. however, on reset defaults 1366x768 or that. don't understand it.
anyway, trying sega genesis emulator morning, played "double dragon" little quit. tv started making couple of knocking/popping noises, thought coming somewhere else. tried nes emulator. no sound on quitting game same knocking/popping noises came. tried snes, same deal pi froze on exit, solid green , red light.
when unplugged , turned on there constant, loud "beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep" tone coming tv, when turned volume down. had turn off @ wall after 3 attempts boot without doing this. seemed sort things out. however, still have no sound on pi of incident. also, each time leave emulator double line message forcing hdmi resolution think may route of problem , may have been caused changing base resolution morning, (as said) can't remember did - in 1 of backend menus, not in command line , lets set x , y of display.
can me or suggest might have happened ?

also, pi not connected pc in way editing/changing have done on device itself. again !

dearie, dearie me... lol ! figure out reason why wasn't getting sound after multiple resets... i'd turned sound on tv down try , counter "beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep" , had forgotten turn :-/
however, emulators did drop sound after aforementioned "knock knock bzzz" sounds (and prior beep on reset mayhem). have ideas why may have been ?
also, managed find resolution menu , changed default.
now, have couple of other questions...
1) can me setting controllers neogeo ? can't seem them work in gngeo or fba builds , it's confusing me. i've found scripts , suchlike have no real idea how implement them or put them. i'm using 2 usb snes pads work in other emulators i'm running not in neogeo appreciated.
2) pi defaulting 1366 x 768 , wish have running in 1080p boot, there way ? don't know, once again, find option change enable run in resolution want. and, again, step step instructions lot i'm total noob linux.
3) rid of of emulator options, example don't want/need see apple options can rid of these ?
4) can use wireless adapter connect internet pi "scraping" rom information ? far ethernet within wireless range.
again in advance ! great little device but, i'm unfamiliar linux, there few teething issues seems have mind of own...
