Trouble installing printer in cups - Raspberry Pi Forums

i trying install epson r2880 in cups.if click "install printer" administration page. lists printer in printer list. select it, hit continue, , brings screen name printer , share it. click continue , box listing epson models comes up. first 3 entries
epson stylus photo r2880 -cups + gaprint v6.2.9(en)
epson stylus photo r2880 inkjet printer driver(esc p-r)for linux
epson stylus photo r2880 inkjet printer driver(esc p-r)for linux
click on second entry, hit enter( there no continue button). ask make of printer. goes driver select screen hundreds of entries. scroll down entries listed above , select. goes make screen , loops make screen, model screen , keeps looping between 2 screens, never exiting looping.

printer should use gutenprint driver, check latest drivers etc installed:

sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get upgrade sudo apt-get install printer-driver-gutenprint
