Symbol Layer Bug?

hi, not sure if bug or not. thought might have quick fix problem:

i doing lip syncing, using graphics symbol pick syllable person saying changing frame of graphics symbol shown. of sudden, 200 frames down line (i did mouth on 1 layer), graphics symbol wouldn't change different frame within itself. i'd experienced before, ignoring in past, it's getting annoying. happened randomly guy's arm when changed bend of elbow trying replace symbol. it's starting hinder production speed.

is glitch? how fix (without ditching layer , starting new one)? in advance.
