Car reverse camera - Raspberry Pi Forums

i want put raspberry pi screen in car.
had idea put camera module @ of car , use reverse cam.
when put in reverse gear, reverse light comes on, want trigger gpio pin (eg relay)

question: there program can start simple bash script, allows me see live video feed camera module? , max length of camera cable?

the best way extend rpi camera module use https://www.tindie.com/products/freto/p ... extension/ allows camera module 15 ft away rpi. have 2 of these , makes easier position camera module in high window or other remote location , have rpi away elements or in more convenient place. problem have had when using max length hdmi cable usb devices plugged in draw power. other that, solution works great , should work ok backup camera long can route hdmi cable , weather proof camera end of cable against elements.
