Best Type of Motor Shield for Omniwheel robot?

i make omniwheel robot, controlled r/c transmitter , receiver.  use 3 dc motors control wheels, on top of robot, have pan & tilt system comprised on 2 servos.  on pan & tilt system, have laser, need way activate laser; either servo used press button on laser, or preferably wire directly output on shield.  so, there many motor shields out there, particularly lot l293d or similar chip.  these seem cheaper ones (around $20).  don't know if these compatible , r/c trans , receiver. 1 know sure compatible 1 maker shed: http://www.makershed.com/products/motor-shield
however $40 , out of stock... know if motor shields r/c compatible? or if there way make them r/c compatible?  or can show me motor shield can support 3 dc motors, 2 (possibly 3) servos, , compatible r/c transmitter , receiver? i'd rather throw shield of own if that's @ possible, it's cheaper , doesn't things themselves?

i've used esc's before, not arduinos.  how 1 go using esc's arduino?

also, don't know how current motors draw because didn't have specific motors yet, going pick out worked shield
