Thread: connecting to a hotel network

this 1 bit tough, gave laptop running xubuntu friend staying in hotel.
@ home, can plug lan cable in, , works fine. however, friend called me up, , said it's not connecting @ hotel.
make tough, don't remember version of xubuntu is, although installed within last year.
of suggestions gave him on phone memory, network settings located etc...

he's not computer person, don't want terminal discussion on phone.

there easy suggestions of check before suggest give , play pre-installed games?

i think best bet in contact hotel tech support. it's possible there's registration needs occur first.
