i have arduino mega , want hook , independently control ten of these 5v solenoids:

i believe need external power solenoids , maybe transistors?

but knowledge quite lacking , awesome if slap diagram or breadboard plan show need , how put basic project.

they running hours @ time of them extended 5-10 second periods, may need cooled, i'm not sure how hot get.

you def need external power , transistors (or solid state relays: can switch high current) , so-called flyback diode, backwards across solenoid.

this tutorial should started.
