Intelligent power control
hello
i have built gps data logger. powered 3xaa ni-mh baterries step-up voltage converter (converts voltage 5v).
the problem when baterries drained, voltage drops in couple of minutes level components underpowered, stop working , led on arduino glows. wold solve 3 issues:
any solution? there such power circuit available on market (ebay...)?

- indicate low battery power
- auto power-off when baterry power critical
- notify arduino going powered off (normally or low power) can flush sd card , confirm "power off" previous point (= power off itself)
any solution? there such power circuit available on market (ebay...)?

you use arduino measure voltage. i'm not sure whether better measure voltage @ battery or @ output of voltage converter. might need experiment see useful indicator.
you should use internal 1.1v voltage reference voltage measurements independent of voltage powering arduino. require voltage divider brings maximum measured voltage below reference voltage.
