Displaying content in various ways ... - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support

hi ...

i have noobie question best way structure content can display in several ways.

for example, display complete listing of books or web sites or articles found on site ... allow users display them topic or "chapter" (related ecourse have written).

i know in database, script buttons perform various sorts based on field, new cms. there  easy way sort/display content in various ways in joomla without in-depth programming knowledge?

i've figured out 1 way ... creating sections such "books", "articles", etc ... , categories such "chapter 1", "chapter 2", etc.

i see can create duplicate content items copying them , assigning them alternate categories. however, wonder if best way ... ???
