timer slow down

hi,

i have transmitter , receiver rc car , read 1 of pwm signals of receiver, if play sound readings counts lower  , irregular. can me? code attached.

i'm guessing tmrpcm library uses frequent timer interrupts play sounds.  of interrupts going occur during interval trying measure busy loop.  loop won't counting during time spent in interrupt routines lower answer.  need find hardware way measure pulse duration.
